Also some interesting Conferences in 2006

In the last two weeks I went through some conference websites and compiled a list of my favorites :)

Here they are:

  • 22 - 24 February - Workshop on Multiple Representation and Interoperability of Spatial Data, Hannover, Germany link
  • 25 June 2006 - ICA workshop - Research in the Field of Multiscale Modelling and Visualization, Portland, Oregon, U.S. (*.pdf)
  • 10 - 14 July - GICON 2006 - ISPRS Technical Commission II Symposium & 12th International Symposium on Spatial Data Handling (SDH) , Vienna, Austria (link)
  • 22- 25 August 2006 (read that date in a newsgroup article) - SVG Open 2006, Victoria (BC), Canada (link) - very interesting topic: AJAX with SVG

I don´t know yet, to which conferences I will attend. But when I am sure about that, you will get informed here :)

AJAX with SVG - sounds cool. I have not thought about this way of using AJAX, but there must be an incredible number of ways to utilize this.

To have it right. I think there will be some thing going on about SVG and AJAX on the SVG Open. They will deal with it, besides the other topics. I read recently something about the combination of SVG and AJAX on the web. It sounded great!

Do you remember where you read about it?

Ah, we got a new layout. Alright that s OT. But I read an article in Adam Bosworth´s Weblog. Just had an idea about SVG and AJAX and searched via google. So there is a comment from a clever guy of svgmaker.com, who implemented that idea. So just visit this link and read the complete blog .

Thanks - I’ll have a look at it I’m just working on the new layout, so you will notice some changes during the next days.

Crazy. The AJAX+SVG Workshop should have been in Hannover. Canada is a bit far…
